If you’ve had any business with Morton Consulting, or even just called them, there’s a good chance you’ve met Tracy Gran, Finance Coordinator at Morton Consulting. Tracy handles everything but recruiting and hiring – employee onboarding, payroll and payment questions, new hire paperwork, insurance, benefits management, billing, correspondence, birthday cards and gifts. In fact, once a person is hired, she is the go-to person for employee and employer alike.
Tracy joined Morton Consulting almost six years ago. “I like that it’s always changing. Mark [Morton, president of Morton Consulting] expects a lot. You have to show your worth. But he is so open to fresh ideas. Everyone works hard and plays hard. There’s a lot of respect and camaraderie.
“It’s more than a job. It’s people caring.”
“It’s more than a job. It’s people caring.” Tracy embodies that as she looks out for the consultants, making sure they are being paid the correct amount, on time, while also looking out for employers to be sure the consultant is performing well.
“Tracy is a core part of the team,” says Mark. “She takes great care of the Morton Consulting team. If problems arise for any of our staff or consultants, I know they’ll be taken care of.”
“I know everyone says this, but I really do like to think we do it better than anyone else,” Tracy concluded.
When she isn’t managing HR issues for Morton, Tracy can be found on the sidelines of a soccer game, cheering on one of her four children. “When we are not on the soccer fields, I enjoy relaxing at the pool/beach, exploring new wineries or snow skiing/boarding with the family,” she adds.
